Owners Comments - "The first time we saw Red Abbey Farm we knew it was special, and that we could restore it to its former glory. The building is truly unique - from the front a traditional 300-year-old farmhouse, and the rear a historically significant turret!
We love the peace and tranquillity the house offers, and the uninterrupted views from every window of the house, which give us breath-taking scenes throughout the year.
The garden is a lovely private space, perfect for entertaining when the sun is shining it feels like being on holiday in the south of France. We planted lavender around the house, so the scent fills the air as you arrive home. Family and friends always enjoy visiting, especially coming up from London - they find it so relaxing they never want to go back!
Shrewsbury is only 20 minutes away and our closest shop is a lovely family-run farm shop which is just 5 minutes away.
We love the amount of space within the property, the unique design of the house with the large oak spiral staircase to the rear of the property means all the rooms are generous in size. We have enjoyed having dinner parties in the dining room and then relaxing in the lounge afterwards. In the winter we put on the Stovax Wood burner and it creates a really cosy atmosphere - especially during the festive season and heats the entire house. In the summer, the limestone floors keep you cool. It is the perfect house for all seasons, but particularly special at Christmas time.
Surrounding the property are lots of lovely walks, which we do daily with our puppy, including walking to the pretty village of Alberbury, where you can take a lovely stroll around St Michael's and All Angels Church or head into Loton Park where you'll be able to see the many deer's. Red Abbey Farm is situated in a fantastic location, being only 20 minutes from Shrewsbury but in idyllic countryside, near a fabulous farm shop and surrounded by nature and walks"
Services - We understand the property benefits from oil fired central heating, private drainage, mains electric and water
